Paul McCartney Invites Girlfriend to Join Him on Concert Tour

Paul McCartney Concert

It looks like Sir Paul McCartney will have some company when he hits the road for his next tour. Macca had such a great time with girlfriend Nancy Shevell that he has invited her to accompany him on his tour of the UK, America, Canada, and Australia later this year or early next year. A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper:

“Paul is excited about going on tour. Initially he wanted to go it alone with just his band and road crew with family flying out every now and again but now he wants Nancy to be with him all the way.”

“He says he had the time of his life on the road trip with Nancy. I think it really sealed things for him. He enjoys her company so much.”

This should come as no surprise, as Paul is known for having the need for female companionship in a big way. And now that he has Nancy, that need is fulfilled, and he will have her by his side on his upcoming tour. Good for Paul! he deserves to be happy after what that ex-wife bitch put him through.

Macca’s Jude Song

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney played the harmonica for a boy named after one of his songs.

Paul was in Amarillo, Texas, during his US road trip along the iconic Route 66 with girlfriend Nancy Shevell, when a male fan approached him with his four-month-old son Jude.

When the Beatles legend was introduced to the baby he took out his harmonica and played ‘Hey Jude’, which he wrote in 1968.

Record store owner Don Dunavin told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper:

“I was holding Jude and Paul walked right in front of us. I took two steps forward and shook his hand. He went to Jude, grabbed his hand and started talking to him. After we told him his name he said, ‘I’ve got something for him. Jude was smiling at him. I told my wife to get the camera out and he stopped. He said, ‘Please, no pictures.’ But then started playing some more.”

What a cute story!

Paul McCartney Stays in Leather Room

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Paul McCartney Concert

We all know that Sir Paul is a strict vegetarian. However, on a recent road trip with girlfriend Nancy Shevell the couple stayed at the very, very posh Ambassador Hotel in Texas. It seems that the Presidential Suite, where Paul and Nancy were booked, is decorated in leather, and Paul, being the vegetarian that he is, shuns that sort of stuff. A source told The Daily Mail newspaper:

“He booked the room himself, but wouldn’t have realised that it had so much leather in its interior.

“He would have been a bit annoyed, but the whole point of the trip is to travel anonymously so he wouldn’t have caused a fuss.

“He can’t change how other people decorate a room.”

The manager of the Ambassador Hotel said:

“Everything is leather, as if you were a rich rancher. I think they got a kick out of that.”

No “official” word on Paul’s reaction to the situation. Maybe he’s so in love right now that this didn’t matter!

Paul McCartney Loves To Say “I Do”

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

The man clearly can’t help himself.  Paul McCartney has told his daughter Stella McCartney that he intends on marrying his current gal pal Nancy Shevell.  He said…

‘What would you say if I asked Nancy to be the next Mrs McCartney?’ And she joked back, ‘At least she’s financially independent.’

Well, ain’t that the truth, she is wealthy in her own right and if Paul is gonna jump into the marriage game again, at least his latest flame isn’t a golddigger.

I guess all is cozy for Paul and Nancy.  Paul’s divorce is over and done with (even though he’s a few million dollars poorer) and Nancy’s hubby, US lawyer Bruce Blakeman even approves of his ex-wife and Paul’s relationship.   Paul and Linda McCartney and Bruce and Nancy have known each other for years, having gone through Linda’s and Nancy’s breast cancer ordeal together.

For some reason, Paul cannot ever be without a woman on his arms, but if Nancy is THE ONE, then more power to him!

Paul McCartney Camps His Way Across The U.S.A.

Friday, August 8th, 2008

Paul McCartney

I love this!  Paul McCartney has shunned hotel rooms, and this man can stay anywhere he pleases, in favor of camp sites on his trip across America. Paul and his lovely girlfriend Nancy Shevell pitched a tent and slept under the stars last week-end at Bennett Springs State Park in Missouri.  A fellow camper said that

“It was incredible to see one of the world’s richest musicians going back to basics.”

“They didn’t seem to have a care in the world as they laughed and joked with each other.”

I think I would’ve keeled over if I saw Paul McCartney camping in the heartland of America, right with everyone else.  I love this man!!!

Paul McCartney’s Road Trip

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Paul McCartney and new girlfriend Nancy Shevell are enjoying a summer road trip together. The couple left Paul’s New York home last Thursday, July 30, and have been traveling U.S. legendary Route 66 in a classic 1989 Ford Bronco. News of the trip emerged after Paul posed for pictures with a group of fans at a service station in Springfield, Illinois on Saturday after traveling almost 1,000 miles since setting out. The trip has been planned in great secrecy, with Paul, 66, and Nancy, 47, telling just a few friends.

One fan, CJ Lowder, said:

“They looked totally in love. Nancy jumped at the chance to take a picture of Paul with us. They told us they were on a trip and going to St. Louis before heading west. No one could believe it was really him - he was so laidback and ordinary.”

I somehow think that Paul and Nancy are not the least bit worried about the outrageous cost of gas.

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney is in his hometown of Liverpool today to lead graduation ceremonies at the school he set up in 1996 for promising students who want to enter the entertainment field. Among the graduating students were actor John Hurt and record producer Trevor Horn, who launched the career of the Liverpool band Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Paul, who remains the lead patron of LIPA, gave a speech to the graduates who attended LIPA in hopes of entering the field of dance, music or theatre. Congrats to all the grads and Cheers to Paul for remaining such a strong force in the school that he helped get off the ground. How great that he gave back to his hometown something that will benefit so many people!

Paul McCartney Rocked The City of Quebec

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Paul McCartney Concert

On Sunday evening, July 20th at approximately 9:15 pm EDT, Sir Paul McCartney took to the stage in Quebec City.  250,000 screaming, smiling, hysterical fans greeted him like he’s never been greeted before.  This BlogMeanie was lucky enough to be one of those 250,000 people and it’s a concert I will never forget.

This was my 7th time seeing my favourite Beatle and I believe it was one of the best I’ve seen.  The energy of the crowd and the energy of Paul combined made for one spectacular, unforgettable night.  He played for an incredible 2.5 hours, with a setlist ranging from Beatles classics to some of Paul’s newest hits.  For the complete setlist, check it out here.

The crowd was so well behaved and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.  As I looked around at the massive crowd, I saw people of all age groups with tears in their eyes, but grinning broadly and singing the lyrics to every song.

For the wonderful people of Quebec, this is their first glimpse at Macca because he has never before played in that beautiful city.  And what a beautiful city it is.  The location, on the Plains of Abraham, could not be matched.  It sits atop a cliff overlooking the picturesque St. Lawrence River, and with a full moon glowing it was just so very magical!  Paul spoke his very best newly acquired French to his appreciative audience and it was met with loud cheers and 250,000 pumping fists.  Quite a sight!  When Paul took to the stage, he looked dashing in his navy blue suit with a mod looking embroidered shirt underneath.

When the heat got to be too much, he shed his jacket and played the rest of the show with the shirt sleeves rolled up.  His blue suspenders completed the look and I have to say he look mah-vellous.  His voice was in top notch form too, the best I’ve heard him in awhile.  Rusty, Abe and Brian were tight and you could tell everyone was having the time of their lives.  Enormous (and I do mean ENORMOUS) screens were set up all around the stage and at the back for the overflow crowd and it was wonderful to look up at those screens and see the emotion of Paul and his bandmates faces.

I think this night will stay with me for a long, long time and I feel so very lucky that I was able to be a part of this historic occasion, along with 250,000 other happy, appreciative people.  If anybody can make people Come Together, it’s Sir Paul McCartney.  I love you Paul, thank you for your beautiful music and for being true to yourself!
