As reported earlier, Sir George Martin, was honored on Saturday by the Recording Academy’s Grammy Foundation.

Among the people who came to honor Sir George were his wife and hot son Giles Martin, Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, Marjorie Bach (the sister of Ringo’s wife Barbara Bach) and Joe Walsh.

As reported before a photograph exhibition of Linda McCartney opened in London today.

The exhibition includes portraits of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel, Gilbert & George and Mick Jagger. It also presents landscapes, intimate interiors, self-portraits and family life.

Above are pictures of some of the people that came for the special opening today: Paul, Stella and Mary McCartney, Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara Bach and George Martin. Also at the opening were Kate Moss and George Michael.

Today was the funeral of fifth Beatle Neil Aspinall who died 2 weeks ago.

Yoko Ono, Barbara Bach, Stella McCartney, George and Giles Martin, Pete Townshend and Beatles first drummer Pete Best attended the funeral.

Pete Best’s brother, Roag Best, is the son of Neil Aspinall. Since Pete Best was fired from The Beatles, over 40 years ago, he was not in the same room with the fab four. My guess is that the two remaining Beatles, Paul and Ringo, knew that Pete will be there in support of his brother and therefore they did not attend.

Paul did visit Neil, in New York City, few days before he died.
