Dhani Harrison and Julian Lennon Find It Isn’t Easy Being A Beatles Son

Dhani Harrison

Just because Dhani Harrison and Julian Lennon have two of the most famous musicians in the world for dads, don’t expect that to be their ticket to fame.   Julian hit it big with his debut album “Valotte” back in 1984 but after that success, he failed to gather anymore fame based on his music.  Right now he’s on an eight year sabattical from recording music and is indulging himself in some of his other interests like cooking, photography and even interior design.   But all is not lost if you’re a fan of Julian Lennon.  Look for his new album entitled “Conscious” due out later this year.  I’m looking forward to this, I just love his style!

As for George Harrison’s son Dhani, he’s been busy with his band “thenewno2″ and their new album, but for him it just seems to be more of a hobby than a career that he’s pursuing.  There really hasn’t been much press coverage of his new project.  He is going on tour this fall in California so that’s an opportunity to check him out and show some support.

Now Sean Lennon is another matter.  He’s more into the music industry than any of the other Beatles kids, maybe because he has his mum Yoko there to encourage and back him.  Currently, he’s scoring film soundtracks and producing other artists, as well as working on a new album.

I don’t know about you, but I love hearing what the Beatle kids are up to, especially musically.  Now if only we can find out about James McCartney, eh?  He’s a bit on the elusive side, but hopefully someday we’ll get some insight into my favorite Beatle’s (Paul McCartney) only son.

Julian Lennon Is Tired Of The Crazies On MySpace

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Poor Julian Lennon! Apparently some Beatles fans stalk him on MySpace. Check out his blog entry from few days ago:

Album et al….
Current mood: In good spirits…. Let the Games begin!

Dear Folks, due to the workload of finishing the album over the next month & a half & the organisation that it’s going to take to get the album out there,I won’t really be spending much time here on Myspace.I will check in once in a while, but not nearly as frequently as I have been & I will not be writing to individual friends anymore, due to the fact that many have been insincere about their motives as friends, & to be honest with you,I’ve just about had enough of all the BULL that I’ve come across & had to deal with. I thought I’d seen some head-games played in My time, but there’s a few out there that just take the fruitcake! Nasty, nasty, miserable, self absorbed people!

I am hard at work on many, many projects now & feel that Myspace has distracted me somewhat from my work.I will, of course, still be posting the occasional Blog,in regards to upcoming events & environmental issues which I’m trying to help. Obviously,as One man,I cannot change the problems of this world, but with the good & honest friends I have met here, we can certainly try & make a difference! There are many, many nay-sayers, who would try to stop positive change,as been witnessed clearly on myspace, but I/we will not give up.
This is not goodbye. This is just a break I think we all need. We’ve been in each others pockets a little too closely & for a little too long. Time for a breather!
I wish all of you good, honest, kind hearted friends all the best, but I wish the rest of the fruitcakes out there would just grow up & get a life! & stop pissing on other peoples generosity of heart, kindness & good will.
Until next we speak…. Have a wonderful summer & live life to the fullest!

Julian Lennon The Night Before

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Julian Lennon, looking very much like his dad, was leaving Mr. Chow last night as the songs “Eight Days A Week” and “Ticket To Ride” were playing in the background. Creepy!

Julian turned 45 nine days ago. Happy Birthday Jules!
