Is it the wife or the girlfriend? That is the burning question that I’m certain everyone is just dying to know. Is Ronnie Wood staying with his wife of 23 years, Jo, or is he about to shack up with his girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova, as was reported just yesterday? My, my, what a difference a day makes. Seems a friend of Jo Wood has told Britain’s The Sun newspaper:

“Ekaterina is living in a fantasy world. To say she has won Ronnie is ridiculous, particularly as there isn’t a competition.

“This silly child is trying to play grown-ups but she is just showing how immature and unready she is for an adult relationship.”

Apparently Jo’s recent visit with her messed-up hubby at the rehab center went quite well, as the couple was reportedly seen cuddling and kissing and enjoying a walk.

The source added:

“Ronnie is still trying to save his marriage and Jo is desperate to see him nursed back to health. For her this isn’t some playground contest with another woman.

“Ekaterina will never have what Jo and Ronnie have together.”

It’s quite clear that Ronnie is in no shape to make any kind of major decision, let alone one that will have an impact on so many lives. Let the guy dry out, get the help he needs, and then see what he is going to do regarding his marriage. Time will tell.

Mick Jagger’s youngest daughter, 16 year old Georgia Jagger, is fed up with her mom Jerry Hall’s youthful wardrobe.  So fed up in fact, that two years ago when Jerry Hall turned 50, Georgia raided her closet and took all of her mini skirts.   The nervy little bitch tells London’s newspaper The Mail…

‘I did take all her miniskirts. I told her one night that her skirt was too short – she came down the stairs and I was like, “God, Mum, you are 50.”’

Jerry stupidly took her kids advice and put all of her mini skirts, plus her wedding dress that she wore when she married Mick, up for auction earlier this year.

Why the hell would this beautiful woman, who does not look 52 years old, take the advice of her 16 year old daughter?  She has a beautiful figure and great legs and I think she should show them off and be proud of how she looks.  Who knows, maybe the kid is jealous of all the attention her mom gets.

Ronnie Wood’s girlfiend is making claims that once the troubled guitarist gets out of rehab next week, they will make a “fresh start” as a couple. Katia Ivanova, the girlfriend who is young enough to be Wood’s granddaughter, says that he is in love with her, and not his wife of 23 years, Jo. Ivanova told the News of the World:

“Ronnie loves me and it’s not about money. I’m looking forward to a fresh start with him. It’s sad we’ve caused people pain,” Ivanova said.

“It’s hurt his family and my family too, but we’ve just fallen in love.

“Ronnie is moving on. But I’m not taking someone’s husband, he’s leaving. I never pursued him.”

Jo Wood recently visited Ronnie in rehab, and by all accounts the reunion was quite emotional.

I’ll bet it was.

I know, here we go again…more Ronnie Wood news.  But this time it’s something positive and has nothing to do with his marital woes or his drinking problem.  At the end of this month, Liverpool will host their annual showing of art about The Beatles.  Held during the popular Mathew Street Festival, it will feature Ronnie’s artwork alongside a Beatles exhibition.  Portraits of fellow Rolling Stones as well as Rod Stewart and other music mates will be displayed.  Music tour sketches, landscapes, wood-cuts and etchings are among the more than 80 works that will appear in one room of the Liverpool Academy of Arts, while an exhibition of all things Beatles will appear in another.

This BlogMeanie, along with another fellow Blogger, will be lucky enough to be in good old Liverpool for this and I think I may have to check it out.  It sounds fascinating.  Ronnie’s work is absolutely beautiful, such a contrast to his troubled personal life.

The Rolling Stones will release a special Collector’s Edition DVD of their Martin Scorsese-directed film ‘Shine A Light’ on November 10 (just in time for the holidays!).
The package will include four new songs and a backstage documentary featuring rehearsal and rare archive footage.
Each copy will include a 16-page booklet featuring the film’s production notes, and will and come in numbered packaging.

A second disc will also contain a digital copy of the film, for fans to transfer onto their iPod or laptop. The film was shot at New York’s Beacon Theatre by legendary director Scorsese on The Rolling Stones ‘A Bigger Bang’ tour in August 2006.

Here we go with more Ronnie Wood news again.  Sure, you’re sick to death of hearing about his woes by now but I feel as though you may all like to hear what’s new in the continuing saga of Ronnie.  Now it seems as though his doctors that are treating him at the dry out clinic have ordered him to have no contact with his wife Jo nor his 20 year old Russian “girlfriend” (and I use the term loosely) Ekaterina Ivanova.    It seems the added stress of having to juggle the two of them is too much for you-know-who.  Tsk Tsk, poor baby.  The good news is he’s looking much better and feeling more upbeat but he must stay put in the facility for 6 weeks to overcome, once and for all, his addiction to booze, drugs and sex (not necessarily in that order).  I wonder how Jo feels about all this?  She’s probably happy that she doesn’t have to deal with him for the next few weeks!

Rod Stewart has vowed to help Ronnie Wood fight his alcoholism.

The pair are due to reform their 70s band The Faces for a series of shows later this year and Rod is determined to ensure Ronnie - who is currently in rehab following drinking binge with 20-year-old Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova - is well enough to perform.

A source said:

“Rod says that if Ronnie’s not back to full speed by September, he’s going to step in and get him better. I think he wants to offer him a haven away from his mad world.

I certainly hope someone helps Ronnie- I want a Faces reunion!

Ronnie Wood is in the news again, and the news isn’t good. A former aide of his has been awarded $1 million in damages after accusing him of sexual harassment. Hilary Olson, 30 - who was the band’s wardrobe assistant - filed a complaint against Wood in 2005, just before the band’s A Bigger Bang world tour. Wood, 61, was never charged with any offense nor proved guilty of any wrongdoing. Olsen is banned from discussing the case after signing a confidentiality agreement. Olsen’s mother says:

“It wasn’t just a falling-out. It was a significant incident. I have to be really careful when it comes to my daughter and the Rolling Stones. She goes into panic attacks when this is being talked about. She did costume design and stylist’s work (for the Stones) and that’s why it was a pinnacle, a great job for her.
“She’s only 30 and it (the alleged incident) devastated her for while.”

Ouch!!! The details of this will probably come out in time, one way or another, as they always do.

The BlogMeanies would like to wish Mick Jagger a very Happy Birthday. The Rolling Stones frontman turns 65 today…can you believe it?. At an age where many think of retirement, Mick has no such plans, thank goodness. It appears that The Stones will keep on rolling as long as Mick and Keith (who hits the 65 year milestone in a few months) are physically able.

In an interview last year, Mick stated that he was looking forward to doing more work with The Stones. He said:

“We’re not stopping anytime that I know about.”
