Jimi Hendrix was “murdered” by his close friends, according to Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister. The rocker has accused Hendrix’s close pals of “neglecting” him, which consequently led to his death. Kilmister stated:

“Hendrix was just a sweet guy - to an extent, he was murdered by the people around him, because they didn’t take care of him.

“They just didn’t watch his back.”

Hendrix died from choking on his own vomit, although the exact circumstances surrounding his death have never been fully explained.

It amazes me that after all this time, someone chooses to come out and make a statement like that. Certainly Jimi Hendrix was capable of taking care of himself (or was he? Hmmmm…..), so why blame his friends? There is more to the story of Hendrix’s death than we have been told, apparently.

A brand new exhibition, due to open in London in September, will feature musicians who all passed away at the age of 27.  Among those remembered will be Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison.

Rare photos of the musicians, as well as the first photoshoot of Brian Jones and the rest of The Rolling Stones, will also be on display.

When you see these names one after another, it is absolutely mind boggling how many of the great ones left us at such a young age.  It makes you wonder what other kinds of music they would’ve created had they not so tragically passed on.

On October 27th, Guitar Hero will unveil it’s brand new edition called Guitar Hero World Tour.  It’ll feature Jimi Hendrix’s famous tunes The Wind Cries Mary and a live version of Purple Haze.  Experience Hendrix, which controls Jimi’s musical legacy, is providing his music and likeness for use in the immensely popular video game.  Jimi will be the 3rd big name musician to appear in the game, following Aerosmith and Metallica.  This sounds great, gonna have to buy it for my sons for Christmas!

That’s right…the first guitar Jimi Hendrix burned, back in 1967 at London’s Astoria, will be auctioned off in London later this year.  Expecting to fetch more than $1 Million U.S. Dollars (YIKES!), this is the same guitar that Jimi appeared on stage with in all its blazing glory.   I wonder what it looks like these days?  Well if you’ve got some spare change, be there or be square in London when this event takes place.  Let me know if it’s worth the mil, ok?

The estate of Jimi Hendrix has failed to prove that the sex tape in which Jimi was the “star” was not authentic. The estate swore up and down that the “star” wasn’t  Jimi, but Vivid Entertainment, the company which released the tape in May, says that it is indeed the rock legend himself in the tape having sex with two unidentified women. Several “experts” on the music scene of the 60’s have come forward to substantiate Vivid’s claims that the late rock ‘n roller is in fact the person in the tape involved in the sexual escapade. Neville Chester, road manager for Hendrix in the late 60’s said:

“I’m positive that we are viewing the real Jimi Hendrix.”

Cynthia (Plaster Caster) Albritton, another one of the “experts” who authenticated the footage , said:

“No one can pay me any amount of money to say I saw something I didn’t see and judging from having casted Jimi I’m convinced that he is indeed the man seen in this film.”

For anyone who is not familiar with Ms. Albrittron, she is the infamous groupie from back in the day who made plaster casts from the packages of rock stars, so I’m guessing she would know Jimi’s when she saw it.

Stephen Stills says that he has found an album he recorded with Jimi Hendrix more than 30 years ago.

Stills band mate Graham Nash has told the Las Vegas Sun that he discovered the unreleased album in a stack of material at his house.

Nash says Stills recorded everything back then and just forgot about this one. It was made in 1970, not long before Hendrix died.

Nash is cleaning up for the tapes and preparing the album for an official release.

Vivid Entertainment co-chairman Steven Hirsch wants the family of Jimi Hendrix to prove it’s not him in the sex tape and if they can, they’ll pay $100,000 to the Hendrix estate. Apparently, they’re trying to appear very confident that it’s really the legendary rocker having a threesome with two women.

While Hendrix officials have denied the tape’s authenticity, Hirsch says:

“Vivid took considerable time and spent a substantial sum of money to authenticate the footage and we are very comfortable that this is the real thing. We believe that those who say otherwise are relying on their emotions to make unsubstantiated claims. If Experience Hendrix can prove definitively that it’s not Jimi Hendrix on this footage then we will pay them $100,000.”

Even if it isn’t him, Vivid would stand to gain a lot more than $100,000 because people are curious. If they offered $1 million or more, then it would sound a little more convincing.

The company in charge of Jimi Hendrix’s estate “strongly dispute the claimed authenticity” of the that sex tapes featuring the guitarist. The company selling the tape doesn’t buy this, and claims they are confident that the tape is authentic.

Well of course they do. Right now the company is seeing plenty of dollar signs.

Jimmy Hendrix reportedly has a sex tape that is set to be released, according to porn company Vivid Entertainment. The Times reported that in the video, Hendrix was allegedly filmed having sex with two women in a dimly-lit room without any audio which will be available for purchase for online download as well as in stores.

Vivid stands to make a lot of money if the tape proves to be real. In the past, they’ve released sex tapes on Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee, and Kim Kardashian. Vivid’s co-chairman, Steven Hirsch told the Times:

“I believe that we did our due diligence, and as a result of that clearly believe that it’s him. If they said that it wasn’t him, I would never have put it out.”

One of Hendrix’ ex-girlfriends from the 1960s insists that it’s not Hendrix in the film. She claimed:

“He would never have allowed anyone to see that. In private he was very shy and would cover up.”

I also doubt it’s him, but folks will do anything to make some money from curious rock fans…
