Paul McCartney Says His New Album Could Ruin His Career
October 9th, 2008
Sir Paul McCartney previewed his new album “Electronic Arguments” for journalists, and made some shocking statements regarding his latest project under the guise of The Fireman. Macca told the journalists that producer The Youth had encouraged him to improvise, which he admitted “could be a terrible mistake”. He went on to say:
“It could ruin my whole career. This could be the most embarrassing moment of my life.”
“Having written so much over the years, when I’m improvising I think I can spot what works.”
WTF??? I don’t think Paul needs to worry about anything ever ruining his career. I wonder if he was really serious when he said this?

No he was joking. We all know that Paul has a great sense of irony. And by all accounts it is a pretty good album though have not heard it yet.

I listened to the first track last night and thought it was actually quite good. Paul has a nice growl to his voice much like his earlier solo recording days

PAUL MCCARTNEY IS IN THE TOP 20 OF THE GREATEST SONG WRITERS IN MUSICAL HISTORY, IT DOESN`T MATTER IF HIS LATEST MATERIAL ISN`T SUPPOSEDLY AS GOOD AS HIS PAST MATERIAL ANYMORE, HE STILL DOES IT BECAUSE HE ENJOYS IT AND HIS REAL FANS (ME) WILL ALWAYS WANT MORE, AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL GUY!!
HE COULD HAVE STOPPED DOING THIS WHEN HE WAS 25, HE CERTAINLY DOESN`T NEED THE CASH ANYMORE. WHICH PROVES EVEN MORE HE SINCERELY DOES IT FOR THE LOVE OF MUSIC,,, CIAO!!1

Yeah, he was probably just joking. By the way, in the book of Guiness world records, he’s the most succesful songwriter of 2009. I found that really cool!

It’s obvious that John was the creative genius of the Beatles. Paul was certainly second best, and for the longest time, I thought that Paul was.. It is clear from the albums after the beatles, that John certainly was.. even so.. I can’t complain too much about Paul.. Without George, the future is bleak.. Paul alone just doesn’t cut it.. If it were Paul and George, maybe there would be some hope..
But unfortunately, all is lost with John AND George gone.. So bad… John and Paul, John and George, George and Paul.. no other combination works under any scenario.
Paul is trying.. and it’s the best we have and will ever have..

I just got this CD for Christmas.I didnt think Paul could top Memorey Almost Full.He did. This is probably the closest thing I have ever heard to a new Beatles/Wings album.I am most curious if any of these songs will be done with his band in the up comming 09 tour.
