Bono Scoring Broadway Production

October 8th, 2008

Bono

Bono is scoring a Broadway production, which is set to open next year. The musical, “Spiderman” is also expected to be the most expensive production in theater history. The show is currently operating on a $40 million budget, and if it is a hit, that could mean lots more cash in Bono’s already loaded pockets.

Certainly there are the anti-Bono people out there who are probably wishing and hoping that this production is a bomb. Those of us who are U2 fans wish him good luck with this effort. As always, Bono has his hands in many projects, but I had no idea that he was writing the music for a Broadway show, of all things.

Actually, it is not only Bono - but The Edge as well. Co-writing together. It is also NOT Bono’s production, but simply asked to score the main music.

I dont think we want this to bomb because we don’t like him. We would just prefer him to stop acting as if he was God and telling what we should do with our money while he lives in luxury with a minimum talent. He is beginning to believe his own publicity.
