Will Led Zeppelin Replace Robert Plant?

Robert Plant

Rumor has it that the members of Led Zeppelin are looking for a replacement for frontman Robert Plant. Since the rock legends reunited for a gig last year, reports have been running rampant that the band was preparing for a full-scale world tour. However, Robert Plant  threw everything up in the air by embarking on a tour with country star Alison Krause.  Now it seems that the rest of Led Zep has been rehearsing with stand-in singers, and are toying with the idea of replacing Plant.

A source has told the British newspaper The Sun:

“They’ve been rehearsing frequently in London and the band is really gelling. There’s an American guy who has been standing in for Robert regularly and doing a great job.
“Obviously they want the original frontman to join them on the road but he still won’t commit. They will be finalising plans for shows over the next couple of months and will tell Robert that if he doesn’t want to be involved they will go ahead without him.”

Ouch! Shocking news indeed! Who can imagine Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant? And who could the “American guy” be?
