September 28th, 2008

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have raised more than $85,000 for victims of the devastating June 2008 floods in the Midwest. Premium seats for the band’s summer tour shows were auctioned off, with all proceeds headed for Habitat for Humanity groups in affected areas.  Ticketmaster reportedly waived its fees for the auctioned tickets and helped put the auction together for the band.
