Robert Plant Hates Paperwork

Robert Plant

After all the speculation about a Led Zeppelin reunion tour, it seems the reason that Robert Plant is wary about the idea is simple.  He hates paperwork.  Since the one-time gig last year in London, the band have been the subject of non-stop reunion rumors.  Although Plant, who is still on tour with bluegrass singer Alison Krauss, hasn’t completely ruled out a Led Zeppelin reunion, he’s turned off by all the paperwork involved.  Speaking about the gig last December at London’s O2 arena, Plant said,

“The endless paperwork was like nothing I’ve experienced before. I’ve kept every one of the emails that were exchanged before the concert and I’m thinking of compiling them for a book, which I feel sure would be hailed as a sort of literary version of Spinal Tap.”

He went on to say,

“Led Zeppelin’s never been about the fans. We’ve always been about four guys coming together to make thrilling, disturbing rock ‘n’ roll. On our own terms.”

Hmmm.  ‘Never been about the fans’, eh?  Seems he’s forgetting just who bought all those millions of records Led Zeppelin sold.
