Jimmy Page Plays Down Reports of Touring and Recording
September 8th, 2008
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has played down reports that the group has been recording new material. He also made it clear that we should not hold our breath waiting for the band to reunite and tour any time soon. Page told reporters at the Toronto Film Festival:
“We’re not actually really recording. We played at the O2 (Arena in London last December). That was our reunion. It’s nothing as monumental as what people are speculating and projecting.”
As for a concert tour, Page said that future shows would have to include Robert Plant, who has been touring with Allison Krause. Page stated:
“If you’re going to do a reunion, you need four members.”
