Beatles Contract With Brian Epstein Worth A Pretty Penny

September 5th, 2008

The very first management contract between The Beatles and their manager Brian Epstein, sold for a whopping $480,000 at an auction in London last night.  That is a ton of dough and I wonder who came up with it?  Billed as the most important music contract of all time (I’ll say) it belonged to Brian Epstein who launched John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr to fame beyond their wildest dreams, after seeing them play The Cavern Club in Liverpool waaayyy back in 1961.  It took until January, 1962 though, until this contract was signed by all parties.

Now this is a piece of Beatles memorabilia to end all memorabilia, isn’t it?
