A reel-to-reel tape from 1964 that recorded The Beatles laughing has sold at an auction today for $23,000 USD.  OMG!  Auctioneers had figured this little diddie might fetch $16,000, but somebody had an extra wad of cash in his or her pockets I suppose.   For $23,000 the internet bidder is now the proud owner of the tape that features John Lennon and Paul McCartney struggling to record I’ll Follow The Sun amid fits of laughter.  The tape also features Beatles’ performances and chatter among the guys.  I would LOVE to get my hands on this, it’s gotta be amazing to hear but I don’t think it’s quite worth $23,000!
