Kinks frontman Ray Davies is set to have a musical, written by himself, staged at the Theatre Royal Stratford East in London, come September. The production is entitiled “Come Dancing” after a song which was a hit for The Kinks twenty-five years ago.  It is set in the 1950’s around the Ilford Palais Ballroom, and will include over twenty songs written by Davies. It has not been decided whether Ray himself will be appearing in the show.

This sounds very intriguing. Ray Davies is a multi-talented songwriter and musician, and hopefully the show will be a great success.
