Film To Focus On John Lennon’s Childhood

John Lennon

John Lennon’s childhood is to be the subject of a new film. The legendary Beatle was raised by his Aunt Mimi in Liverpool, England when Lennon was still very young and after his parents split up. Lennon was said to have written emotional songs such as “Mother” and “My Mummy’s Dead” in a way to express his feelings of desertion.

John’s adolescence and the influence his upbringing had on his music will be examined by filmmaker Matt Greenhalgh in the movie Nowhere Boy.

Sounds interesting. I hope that Greenhalgh does a good job with it.
