Heavy rain and thunder didn’t deter tens of thousands of people who came to see Sir Paul McCartney perform a free charity concert. The concert took place Saturday night in Kiev, and was the first for Paul in Ukraine. Although the concert was free, organizers were asking for donations from Ukranian busunessmen and others to benefit the children’s department of Ukraine’s National Cancer Institute. In an interview before the show, Paul said:

“I’m really looking forward to it. Every time I speak to someone who has been to Kiev before they keep telling me what a great place it is with lots of history.”
