Heather Mills Dumps Beatles Music

Heather Mills

That nasty, goldigging Heather Mills is at it again. This time, she is actually removing all Beatles songs from her iPod. Can you imagine that?! I’m sure Paul would feel so very upset and hurt if only he knew. It seems that her “trainer” has come out and reported that Mills has wiped out all Beatles music from her iPod and replaced those songs with dance music for her workouts.

Now here’s a little tid-bit of information that I was unaware of: Heather and Paul supposedly recorded a song together entitled, of all things, “Disability Rap”, in 1999 shortly after they began dating. Has anybody heard it? Does anybody want to hear it? Who has a copy of this song? Very strange. Maybe the only recording of it was on gold-digger’s iPod, and seeing as she recorded it with Paul, it’s probably been deleted with all the other songs done by The Beatles. Or, maybe Paul came to his senses post-recording and destroyed any of the evidence that could have incriminated him or had him declared insane. OMG!!

Bono Pissed At French Prez Sarkozy

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Look out Sarkozy….Bono ain’t too pleased with you at all. As a matter of fact, Bob Geldof is a little hot under the collar too. The reason behind all this, you ask? Well it seems that back in 2005 when the Summit of Industrialized Nations was held, France, among other countries, made a little commitment to double their aid to Africa by the year 2010. Now it appears that France has actually decreased its aid. The reason why the crusading rockers have picked on France is because it’s that country’s turn to take over the European Union presidency. What they’re really hoping is that if France lives up to their promise, it’ll serve as a kick in the pants to the other countries to put their money where their mouths are. I’ll let Bono tell you in his own words…

“I have high hopes for President Sarkozy. I believe his hard-headedness might be necessary to work on some of these problems.”

Ya gotta hand it to him, that man does not give up when it comes to helping Africa. He’s a good bet to have on your side, isn’t he?

John Lennon’s and Ringo’s Bike Goes Bye-Bye

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

A 1970 “monkey bike”, once belonging to John Lennon and Ringo Starr, fetched almost $75,000 yesterday at a rock n’ roll memorabilia sale in London.  Originally belonging to John, it was given to Ringo when he took ownership of Tittenhurst Park from John.  John bought it back in the day as a fun way to tool around his huge estate.  The bike ended up in the hands of the seller, who was the estate gardener, after the Lennons moved to New York.  Ringo figured it was a nice way to thank him for all the work he had done on the grounds over the years.

Ringo gives some cool gifts, eh?

Beatles Artifacts To Go Under Hammer

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

On July 10th, Christie’s Auction House in London will be auctioning off some fabulous rock and roll memorabilia. If you’d like to own the bass drumskin that appeared on the cover of Sgt. Pepper, or the handwritten lyrics to John Lennon’s “Give Peace A Chance”, then get out your checkbook and prepare to shell out upwards of $200,000 to $300,000. Some of the other items up for bidding are a 1966 Marshall amp used by Jimi Hendrix as well as a pair of his funky trousers.

I’d better go pay a visit to the moneytree growing in my backyard. I’m sure my drum playing teen-age son would love to be the only kid in his school to own the Beatles’ drumskin.

Mick Jagger’s Daughters Get Advice From Their Mom Jerry Hall

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Mick Jagger’s ex, Jerry Hall, said recently that she would never let her daughters (and Mick’s also, btw) Elizabeth, 21 and Georgia-May, 15 get involved in a relationship with a man like their daddy Mick. According to the Amazonian blond bombshell…

“No, never. But I don’t think they would. They have far more confidence than I did, and they have great boundaries. It took me longer to learn those.’

Jerry, who is writing her memoirs after signing a deal worth around 2 million dollars, also had this to say about her marriage to the Mickster…

‘I always thought he would change, and that was my big mistake. People don’t change, unless they really want to, and you can’t make them. I probably stayed with him for longer than I should have done. All I can say is that I really loved him, and he really loved me, in spite of all the other women.’

I would say that after putting up with Mick’s shit for all those years, she’s done pretty good for herself. Makes ya wonder though, if her daughters will take their mom’s sage advice and say NO if a man like their daddy comes along in their life.

Paul McCartney Gives Free Concert in Ukraine

Paul McCartney Concert

Heavy rain and thunder didn’t deter tens of thousands of people who came to see Sir Paul McCartney perform a free charity concert. The concert took place Saturday night in Kiev, and was the first for Paul in Ukraine. Although the concert was free, organizers were asking for donations from Ukranian busunessmen and others to benefit the children’s department of Ukraine’s National Cancer Institute. In an interview before the show, Paul said:

I’m really looking forward to it. Every time I speak to someone who has been to Kiev before they keep telling me what a great place it is with lots of history.”

Led Zeppelin Tour Rumors Continue to Fly

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Robert Plant

It looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer than expected for the long anticipated Led Zeppelin tour. Guitarist Jimmy Page has stated that band members were ready to reunite and perform more live events, but that any tour would have to wait until 2009, as band members would have to finish up individual projects.

So let’s not hold our breath on this one. It’s anyone’s guess right now when and if Zep will tour.
