New Beatles Documentary Features Rare Footage

June 26th, 2008

Rare footage of The Beatles shot during the filming of ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ has been found. The footage, shot in color on grainy 8mm film, shows the Fab Four on their yellow tour bus and strolling along the British coastline in Plymouth. It is believed that the footage was shot by tourists. The film will be part of a new documentary on The Beatles with a working title of ‘ Mystery Tour Memories’. The producer of the documentary, David Lambert of Arthouse Pictures, says,

“They were quite happy to relax and talk to people; the days of ‘Beatlemania’ were long gone. I think it was George who said ‘As long as people don’t want to scream at us and pull our hair out and take our clothes off, we are quite happy to sit and talk to them.”
