A guitar amplifier signed by Paul McCartney sold for 3900 British pounds (approximately $7800 US) in a charity auction on ebay. Proceeds from the sale of the Vox amp went to the No More Land Mines campaign, of which Paul is an avid supporter. Sir Paul said:

“Cluster bomblets and anti-personnel mines are unacceptable when they kill and injure innocent civilians.

“I call upon individuals, organisations and politicians to do all they can to reduce the impact of these weapons.”
