Olivia Harrison’s Garden Tribute for George Harrison

Olivia Harrison has reportedly created a floral tribute for George Harrison. Olivia lovingly designed a garden in the late Beatle’s honor for an English flower show. The garden is called “Life to Life” after a line in the song “It’s All Too Much.”

The design is meant to depict George’s humble beginnings to his life of luxury through the use of plants and flowers.

Harrison’s own Material World Charitable Foundation was the sponsor for the garden which seems fitting as he often visited the Chelsea Flower Show before he passed away in 2001.

Olivia told Radio Times magazine:

“Each year we used to go to Chelsea and George would take copious notes and come home with a list of plants he wanted to buy.My hope is that this project will be a tribute to the horticultural side of his personality that relatively few people knew about.”

It’s not surprising how he would’ve been drawn to gardening. What a beautiful idea for a tribute to him!
