Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts has revealed that he wanted to leave early from a screening of the Martin Scorsese film about the Stones, “Shine A Light”, mainly because he didn’t like seeing himself in flashbacks from forty years ago. Although he praised the film overall, he stated “We were in the posh bit [during a screening at the Berlin Film Festival recently], but in the front, so you can’t get up and leave ‘cos everyone’s looking at you. So we had to sit through it, but actually about five minutes from the end I thought, ‘OK, that’s enough’.”

You gotta love Charlie. We never hear too much from him, but when we do it usually is something very deep and profound.
