The Edge Hosts A Benefit Auction

The second annual music memorabilia charity auction will be hosted by U2 guitarist, The Edge on May 31 at the Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square. Proceeds will go to the campaign The Edge co-founded in 2005 to aid musicians of the Gulf Coast Region after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Some of the items to go on auction are:

Kurt Cobain-played early bass guitar with home photos of him playing it ($40,000/60,000), a Jim Morrision handwritten poem ($4,000/6,000), a Miles Davis stage-played trumpet ($10,000/20,000), a Jimi Hendrix signature on a receipt ($2,000/3,000), Slash’s Gibson Les Paul first played on stage with Velvet Revolver ($20,000/30,000), a Bob Dylan handwritten set list ($2,000/4,000), and four D.A. Millings suits worn by wax figures of the Beatles at Madame Tussauds museum ($60,000/80,000).
