U2 are reportedly scrapping all of the tracks they’ve written for their next album and are starting all over again which means ditching a year’s worth of work. Ouch! The rockers have been working for the past year but they’re quite unhappy with the results. The Edge revealed that the band has mostly messed around and now they’ve decided to really get to work and finish the new record. He told Cmumusic.com

:

“We went into this project allowing ourselves the indulgence of making music without thinking about where it was going to end up. We’re starting to get serious now”.

Yoko Ono along with John Lennon’s sons Julian and Sean, are reportedly suing the filmmakers of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed for using the song “Imagine” in the documentary without permission.

Ono and Lennon’s sons, along with privately held publisher EMI Blackwood Music Inc filed suit in U.S. District Court in Manhattan seeking to bar the filmmakers and their distributors from continuing to use “Imagine” in the movie. They are also seeking unspecified damages.

The producers cited the fair use doctrine, which allows the use of copyrighted materials for the purposes of commentary and criticism.

The producers said in a statement:

“We are disappointed therefore that Yoko Ono and others have decided to challenge our free speech right to comment on the song ‘Imagine’ in our documentary film.”

July 10th - First Beatles Day In Liverpool

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

On July 10th this year, the city of Liverpool will celebrate the first Beatles day ever:

The event on July 10 will mark the 44th anniversary of the Fab Four’s triumphant homecoming to Liverpool after they conquered America in 1964.

To be honest, I find it lame. Why not celebrating the Beatles day on July 6th instead? July 6th 2008 will be the 51st anniversary of when John Lennon first met Paul McCartney. I think that this day makes much more sense in Beatles history than the day they came back to Liverpool after conquering America.

Heather Mills reportedly gave Paul McCartney an ultimatum to marry her or she would leave him, according to a friend and ex-prostitute.

Denise Hewitt worked with Mills as an escort in the 80s and revealed Mills spoke openly in the early stages of their relationship of plans to push Sir Paul to propose.

Hewitt said Mills was determined to marry the former Beatle and also disclosed details about how they worked as £10,000-a-night prostitutes together.

In an interview on Channel 4, Hewitt claimed:

“She said, ‘I’ll give him an ultimatum and if he doesn’t marry me within say eight months, ten months, I’m going to leave him’.”

She also said Heather had made scathing remarks about Macca’s age, saying:

“Well look at me, I’m marrying an old man with bigger tits than me.”

What a lying, manipulative, ugly, and mean bitch!
