One shouldn’t mess with Keith Richards on the street because he still carries around a knife with him for self defense. Even though it’s against the law, the Rolling Stones guitarist has a ratchet knife with a six-inch blade with him everywhere he goes and just tucks it in his pants. He admitted that he learned how to use it on a trip to Jamaica when he told Blender magazine:

“The actual cut doesn’t hurt. All the blood comes down, and then you kick the f**ker in the balls. It’s a very efficient way of dealing with problems. I learned it in Jamaica. I’ve always carried one”.

Apparently, he was busted for carrying the knife in 1975 when Arkansas police officers pulled over Richards and his bandmate Ronnie Woods and discovered the weapon. Although he was arrested, the knife charges were eventually dropped.

It seems that Mick Jagger is determined to keep his current girlfriend, L’Wren Scott, close by, no matter what. Although he and Jerry Hall are separated, they continue to share the family home (she lives in the main part of the house with the kids while he lives in an adjoining flat), and even though Hall banned Scott from the premises, Mick managed to sneak Scott into chez Jagger while Jerry was away in San Francisco. What a guy!

No word on what Jerry’s reaction to all of this was when she found out. Yikes!

Roger Waters is currently searching for his great pig in the sky. The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is reportedly offering a $10,000 and four lifetime festival tickets in exchange for the safe return of the inflatable pig that escaped its tethering and floated away during the former Pink Floyd frontman’s headlining set this past Sunday night, April 27.

Jimmy Hendrix reportedly has a sex tape that is set to be released, according to porn company Vivid Entertainment. The Times reported that in the video, Hendrix was allegedly filmed having sex with two women in a dimly-lit room without any audio which will be available for purchase for online download as well as in stores.

Vivid stands to make a lot of money if the tape proves to be real. In the past, they’ve released sex tapes on Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee, and Kim Kardashian. Vivid’s co-chairman, Steven Hirsch told the Times:

“I believe that we did our due diligence, and as a result of that clearly believe that it’s him. If they said that it wasn’t him, I would never have put it out.”

One of Hendrix’ ex-girlfriends from the 1960s insists that it’s not Hendrix in the film. She claimed:

“He would never have allowed anyone to see that. In private he was very shy and would cover up.”

I also doubt it’s him, but folks will do anything to make some money from curious rock fans…

David Bowie reportedly refuses to stay in the same room when his seven-year-old listens to her teen pop music. The legendary rocker has attempted and failed to teach Alexandria about what good music (alternative sounds, steering her clear from the top 40) is all about, according to his supermodel wife Iman. Iman said:

“Two weeks ago Alexandria was listening to Hilary Duff songs. David just leaves the room. He thinks she should be listening to underground music.”

Poor guy! I hope his daughter grows up to appreciate his amazing music one day.

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards insists he never wanted to be a famous rock star and would’ve been happy to be playing music for an unknown band. He’s convinced that fame has not made him happy, it’s his love for music. He said:

“I’ve been invented by the media. I’m just a minstrel. I didn’t want to be a rock star, just play music. I realized to do that, you had to be famous. It is nothing to do with wanting to be a star.”

He’s a true music lover but somehow got rich while doing it. Cool!

Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood revealed that he once saved a musician’s life after he was allegedly threatened with a gun by music producer Phil Spector. Robin, son of John Le Mesurier and Hattie Jacques remembers the incident when Spector threatened him in Wood’s studio. He said:

“About 20 years ago, I had a gun pulled on me by Phil Spector which really kind of scared me. I went to a party for the release of one of Ronnie Wood’s albums in Los Angeles. We listened to it a couple of times and had a few drinks. I was leaving when a short, squirty guy jumped up and put a snub-nose revolver in my face. It was scary. Woody (Ron) went, ‘No, No, No, he’s a friend.’ Spector then lowered the gun. I have no idea if it was loaded but it was pretty nasty”.

The second annual music memorabilia charity auction will be hosted by U2 guitarist, The Edge on May 31 at the Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square. Proceeds will go to the campaign The Edge co-founded in 2005 to aid musicians of the Gulf Coast Region after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Some of the items to go on auction are:

Kurt Cobain-played early bass guitar with home photos of him playing it ($40,000/60,000), a Jim Morrision handwritten poem ($4,000/6,000), a Miles Davis stage-played trumpet ($10,000/20,000), a Jimi Hendrix signature on a receipt ($2,000/3,000), Slash’s Gibson Les Paul first played on stage with Velvet Revolver ($20,000/30,000), a Bob Dylan handwritten set list ($2,000/4,000), and four D.A. Millings suits worn by wax figures of the Beatles at Madame Tussauds museum ($60,000/80,000).
